Nutritious food is a critical start for great learning!
At United4Literacy, our initiatives are centered on the philosophy of bridging gaps and raising awareness of illiteracy at all levels of our community.

Research indicates that nutrition affects students’ critical-thinking skills, behaviour, and health, which are all factors impacting academic performance. Therefore, in October 2022, U4L took a step further to launch our first Halloween4Hunger food drive, our newest initiative to set the foundation of proper learning.

In partnership with the Single Parent Association of Newfoundland and Labrador (SPANL), U4L hosted a Halloween4Hunger food drive, where committee members collected non-perishable food items for SPANL. Over 1000 food items were collected within the St. John’s community and were donated.
